About Rick

Rick brings 25 years of dedicated experience in cyber security, he is passionate about helping organizations fortify their defenses and overcome complex security challenges. 

His journey in the world of security has taken him from battling and helping secure the U.S. Department of Defense to diverse industries, including retail, insurance, entertainment, cloud computing, and higher education. From performing rigorous penetration testing to architecting and leading robust security programs, his mission is to make the digital world safer. His most recent role was as the Chief Security Strategist for VMware Carbon Black. 

His contributions to cyber security have been recognized both inside the cyber community as well as in society more broadly. You can often catch him on the BBC, CNN, Fox or in cyber media speaking on behalf of the cyber security community. 

Rick's contributions to the cybersecurity industry have been widely recognized. He has been featured in numerous publications and media broadcasts and was an expert contributor to the documentary Tik Tok:Boom.
